G-Star celebrated their new year in Japan, away from their hometown except for Sizuka. They celebrated this new year of 2008 with a full length Japanese album, "Start".
"This is actually a fresh start and a new beginning of our career in Japan. We really can't express our gratefulness to the fans that have been supporting us and that have been loving us with words. No words can describe it. We are really thankful to the fans and we hope that this memory and love will last forever." said leader Young Mi.
"Everyone will wonder, why is it called Start? Well, I wonder too. But as you look through the songs, this is not only a starting point for us but is also a fresh start. We had learned a lot from our seniors and now, only now, we're really starting." Sungyeon said.
"Our respected Senior, BoA had made a bet. If our album sale exceeds 200, 000 copies she's going to do us a wish each. I really hope our album sale can exceed that." Jang Mi said with a laugh.
